This policy explains how ElectriQs collects, uses, and protects your personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
ElectriQs (electriqs.co.uk) is operated in the United Kingdom. For data protection purposes, ElectriQs is the data controller. You can contact us at hello@electriqs.co.uk with any data-related queries.
When you use ElectriQs, we may collect: usage data (pages visited, time on site, device type, browser, approximate location — collected anonymously via analytics tools); questions submitted to our AI diagnostic assistant (text of your questions); email address and message content if you contact us directly; and technical data such as IP address and cookies necessary for the website to function.
We use the data we collect to: operate and improve the website; analyse how users interact with our content to improve it; respond to direct enquiries; ensure the security and integrity of the website; and comply with legal obligations. We do not use your data for advertising profiling or sell your data to third parties.
ElectriQs uses cookies for: essential website functionality (session management, disclaimer acceptance); analytics (understanding how users use the site — anonymised data only); and performance monitoring. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect website functionality. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how users interact with our website. This collects anonymised data about page views, session duration, device type, and approximate geographic location (city level). Google Analytics data is processed by Google LLC. You can opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. No personally identifiable information is collected through our analytics tools.
Questions submitted to our AI diagnostic assistant are processed by Anthropic (the provider of the underlying AI model). These questions may be used to improve AI safety and performance in accordance with Anthropic's privacy policy. We recommend you do not include personal identifying information in questions submitted to the assistant. We retain conversation data only for the duration of your session.
Analytics data is retained for 26 months (Google Analytics default). Email correspondence is retained for up to 3 years. Session data (including AI assistant conversations) is not stored beyond the session. We review and delete data that is no longer necessary on a regular basis.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data (right to erasure); object to processing of your data; request restriction of processing; and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@electriqs.co.uk. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
ElectriQs uses the following third-party services that may process data: Google Analytics (analytics — Google LLC, USA); Anthropic (AI model provider — Anthropic PBC, USA); Vercel (website hosting — Vercel Inc., USA); Sanity (content management — Sanity Inc., USA). All third-party providers are subject to data processing agreements and comply with UK GDPR requirements for international data transfers.
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, secure hosting on Vercel's infrastructure, and access controls limiting who can access any data we hold. No data transmission over the internet is completely secure — we cannot guarantee the security of data transmitted to us, but we take all reasonable steps to protect it.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are made. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
For any privacy-related queries, contact us at hello@electriqs.co.uk. For complaints, you may also contact the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk | 0303 123 1113.
